Who is the comic book hero above describing? The cultural phenomenon, born in the
1930's New York City, gave the world legendary superhero's such as Superman, Batman,
Wonder Women and Iron Man.
Superman first appeared in the wake of the Great Depression in “Action Comics”. Instantaneously
popular, Superman and his crime-fighting adventures became prototypes for the superhero's
that followed.
Princess Diana of Themyscira, Daughter of Hippolyta. Diana Prince, is an extremely
powerful demigod that is a part of Justice League. In the comics, she is the daughter
of Zeus and Hippolyta but was raised by Amazons – Antiope and Menalippe. Her weapons
are Lasso of Truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara.
Research and draw at least 5 inspirational comic book characters that you like.

- What are there superpowers?
- Who are their arch-enemy?
- What is their back-story?
Research inspirational comic book covers. You can either, draw a couple of comic
book covers, or produce a mood board with lots of images, that you can print out
and stick down.
- What common themes do they all have?
- How do they make use of colour?
- How do they appeal to the reader?
