Textures and Renders Technique

The tutorial below is the first of many aimed at developing your designing and drawing skills. Each tutorial will gradually increase in rigor and difficulty. What is the a rendering or texture Technique?
A drawing / sketch can be improved quickly and effectively, by adding shading or a colour texture. A texture can be a material finish such as wood, plastic or wood. Further to this, adding thin lines can give a 3D effect to the finished drawing or sketch. The addition of a few lines lifts the overall quality of the final sketch
